One IAA archaeologist said in a video showcasing the conservation work: “Here was the viewing room of the theatre, like VIP room today in the opera.
“What we see here is capitals, reliefs and windows. It’s very impressive.
“Here we see two layers of murals. A very beautiful flower relief.
“Image of a window with a view, it has shutters and it’s hanged on the wall. We see a crocodile here as well.
“There are nothing like this in Israel. It can be found in Italy for example, and also in the Pompeii area.”
